Building Board Minutes 06/19/17

Members present:  Tony Enea (Chairman), Susan Muggli, Steve Simon, Walt Nielsen, and Inge Plautz.

 1.Approval of minutes from the May 15, 2017 meeting:

Motion by Simon/Plautz to approve. Motion carried unanimously.

2.Discussion/action on construction of a cedar fence at the Desai residence, 2925 W Deer Creek Ct.

  1. Homeowners Mehul & Sowmya Desai present
  2. Reasoning for fence is to keep wild animals out of the yard
  3. Red cedar fence with no stain
  4. 5 feet tall by 342 feet in a rectangular shape attaching to the south side of the home
  5. 4” x 4” posts and 1” x 6” boards running horizontally
  6. Note – proposed tennis court on the survey is not part of the submittal

Motion by Simon/Nielsen to approve as submitted.  Motion carried unanimously.

 3. Discussion/action on construction of a deck at the Karos residence, 1401 W Brown Deer Rd.

Item tabled until July meeting due to incomplete packet (elevation drawing and printed photos) and a solution to the esthetics that an engineer would approve.

4. Discussion/action on construction of a garden shed at the Williams residence, 8550 N Green Bay Ct.

5. Discussion/action on construction of detached garage at the Rainey residence, 9590 N Range Line Rd.

Motion by Simon/Plautz to approve.  Motion carried unanimously.

6. Additional comments from the public

  1. Update was given on the Wilson property that was approved in May 2017 with contingencies. Architect turned in new plans with corrections and was issued a permit.
  2. Questions arose about unpermitted projects. Manager Lear said he will look into creating a new policy for enforcement once violation is brought to the attention of the board.
