Section 12.025. SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR EXTENSION OF ELECTRIC, TELEPHONE, GAS AND OTHER UTILITY SERVICES IN UNOCCUPIED AREAS.
(1) When deemed advisable by the Village Board, the underground installation of extensions of electric, telephone, gas and other similar utility services through unoccupied areas of the Village may be financed in accordance with the following procedure:
[a] The applicant for such utility service shall submit all of the information required by Section 12.02 of this Chapter and a request that the cost of such improvement be spread against all benefitted properties.
[b] Special assessments may be levied by the Village Board against all property benefitted by such extension in accordance with the provisions of Section 66.60 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
[c] Unless otherwise provided in the preliminary or final special assessment resolutions, all special assessments levied under this ordinance shall constitute a lien against the property benefitted by the improvement and shall be due and owing from the date of the levying of the assessment.
